Usage and maintenance methods of rotary joints

◆ The rotary joint must not be impacted or collided during transportation.
◆ To avoid foreign objects entering the interior of the rotary joint, the equipment piping should be cleaned thoroughly. The accumulation of hard particles such as iron chips, welding slag, and welding flux coating can damage the internal seals of the rotary joint.
◆ In general situations, a flexible hose of sufficient length must be connected between the rotary joint and the fixed pipeline. The connected hose should be in a relaxed state, and rigid connections are strictly prohibited. The installation should be as coaxial and concentric as possible with the rotating equipment, and appropriate measures should be taken for rotation stops (without affecting the free movement of the rotary joint). The rotary joint during installation and operation should move freely with the frequency of the equipment’s rotation.
◆ The rotary joint must not be left running idle for extended periods. Rotary joints equipped with oil filling holes should be regularly lubricated with oil.
◆ If there is any leakage in the rotary joint, it should be repaired or replaced as soon as possible to avoid operating with defects for a long time.
